Slavětice is one of the most celebrated Czech moldavite localities, situated in the Třebíč District of the Czech Republic. The locality is renowned for producing the characteristic “hedgehog” specimens — pieces with deeply sculpted, spiky surface texture that is the hallmark of Czech tektites. Each specimen is a direct record of the Ries impact event 14.8 million years ago.

This specimen is documented from the Slavětice locality. At 3.81 grams, it presents a rare rotated drop form — a coiled, twisted shape caused by internal stress and tension within the glass at the moment of the tektite’s formation during the Ries impact. One minor glossy worn patch is present on the surface; it does not affect the overall collector impression. Dimensions: 28.2 × 13.4 × 10.2 mm. Exact moldavite shown. Signed Certificate of Authenticity included.
