Slavětice is one of the most celebrated Czech moldavite localities, situated in the Třebíč District of the Czech Republic. The locality is renowned for producing the characteristic “hedgehog” specimens — pieces with deeply sculpted, spiky surface texture that is the hallmark of Czech tektites. Each specimen is a direct record of the Ries impact event 14.8 million years ago.
This specimen is documented from the Slavětice locality. At 2.42 grams, it displays a warm honey color. Two glossy worn patches are present on the edge — surface abrasion consistent with natural field wear, which does not affect the overall collector impression. Dimensions: 26.7 × 15.0 × 8.4 mm. Exact moldavite shown. Signed Certificate of Authenticity included.
