Jankov is one of the most celebrated Czech moldavite localities in the Czech Republic. The locality is renowned for producing well-formed aerodynamic shapes — drops, disks, and spheroids — in the characteristic apple green color typical of Czech tektites. Each specimen is a direct record of the Ries impact event 14.8 million years ago.
